without rain flowers can't grow but people with their homes on their backs slog through endless puddles laden down with sorry, soggy weight rain—steady, heartless, relentless curses the homeless, but— without rain trees can't grow without trees houses can't be built without houses we are all homeless. bless the rain curse the rain it makes no difference without rain people are dust and dust has no home honor the rain accept the rain embrace the rain for it embraces all of us homeless and homed alike
